Changing my lenses

One of my favorite quotes is by Marcel Proust:

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes."

I looked at my collection of rubber stamps, and this is one of the very first ones I've owned. It's by Rubber Romance. Typically, I just stamp it on cardstock, black shirt and all. This time, I gave her a wardrobe change. Using my xacto knife, I cut her a new top out of script patterned paper. I stamped her jeans on 'denim' pp, and cut that out also, with my xacto knife. I fell in love with this paper by Basic Grey when I first saw it, but to be honest, didn't know what to do with it. When I started cutting and coloring this chic lady, I knew that this paper, that I had tucked away for so long, was perfect for this project. I think I may send this into a magazine for consideration. Hmmmm........

This stamp is timeless! I don't own it but I've always loved seeing what people do with it. And just like a timeless, classic outfit, you've given it a fresh new look with your paper piecing. Yes, another fabulous card you've made!

Never get rid of this stamp! You always keep it looking fresh with your ideas for her.

Love the fashion makeover, it's fab! This would be a great pub item, showing what you can do with a well loved stamp to give it new life!
